About
I am now 27 years old, and I have lived quite the unusual life so far. I’ve traveled to 30+ different countries, played piano and violin since the age of three, and managed to get myself in and out of all kinds of adventures. In January 2014, I found out that I was 4 and a half months pregnant; just 2 days before starting my last semester of graduate school. Surprise!:/ This blog is an account of my adoption journey, and I wrote it with the purpose of helping women who find themselves in the same situation I was in last year.
I kept my blog anonymous until the adoption was finalized, and while I don’t feel the need to be anonymous anymore, I also want to protect the privacy of everyone involved. If you are new to my blog, here is a key for the code names of everyone involved.
M & D = Mom and Dad – the adoptive parents. W = M & D’s daughter. LM = Little Man – the baby currently residing in my belly. BD = Baby Daddy – self-explanatory. CW = caseworker – the wonderful lady assigned to oversee the adoption from my adoption agency.

So glad you found my blog & let me know you exist. Cheering you on, as an adoptive mom who is literally eternally grateful to our daughter’s birth mom…and as a woman who wept for the loss our birth mom endured to give us the joy we now have. You’re brave and bold. Glad you’re part of our world, even if only through the blogosphere.

PS – I linked to your website from mine (www.oursecretthoughts.wordpress.com … don’t know if my comment will automatically link to my site, & I don’t want you left guessing about what site I’m talking about). Let me know if that isn’t OK. I just think my readers could be really helped and encouraged by your journey.

Hi, thank you so much for reading/caring! Means more than you know. I really enjoy reading your blog, and I’m totally fine with you linking my site. The more people who see blogs like yours and mine and get a positive exposure to adoption, the better. Thank you again.. Congratulations on your pregnancy!! I bet your little girl is SO excited to be a big sister:) God bless
